I, Yana, am half Bulgarian, and Dmitry, my partner in videography and partner (husband) in life is Russian. We moved to Portugal with our parents in 2002 searching for better life conditions, and now, 18 years later, it is the place we both call our home.
Irina wore a vintage dress that we were all obsessed about. She wore it with a wedding birdcage veil, giving it the ultimate vintage touch. A very simple look, but yet so classy and elegant. Less is more, and it made all sense for Irina’s look.
There was a funny moment during reception, that reminded me of old traditions we used to have at weddings held at the village I was born. The newlyweds would have to reach with one hand (or mouth) for a piece of “Kalach” – a traditional Eastern European bread, and the one who got the bigger slice, would be the one to “wear the pants in the family”!
How cool is that! I’ve got to witness my nations old traditions on a destination wedding in Portugal. This world is indeed so small, and we are all somehow connected!
